the middle (they had to run that hill twice...I don't know if I could have walked up it once). My mother kept shouting encouragement to the Southwestern girls as they ran by. When another girl ran by she said "think happy thoughts." I asked her what that was all about, and she just grinned and said, "I'm just messing with her head." I guess all's fair in love and cross-country!
and the end...she's the first girl coming up that hill in this picture...and I was soo glad she made it.
The team had fancied themselves up...including fake black tip fingernails, paw prints on the back of their legs, and matching hair bows that said "MEOW"...no I'm not kidding...
Courtney placed 11th in her conference, which means she kicks butt!
Her team placed first! Which means that they are running in Wisconsin....in November...and I for one am NOT JEALOUS! Court however is completely psych'd. She kept asking during her "recovery" time...did we win...breath, breath, breath, did we win?
Go Southwestern! I hope you gals kick butt in Wisconsin!
