I have a LOT of catching up to do! I went to the
KSU gardens two weeks ago, and while I dislike purple, I LOVE the
KSU gardens...maybe my next degree should be in horticulture...hmmm...while waiting on my mother and aunt, I took pictures of my peonies' and my orange
coneflower that I purchased at grassland gardens over mother's day weekend. I am seriously glad I did, because that next week included hail the size of
golf balls and a tornado...two things not so good for peonies!
While at Grassland gardens, we noticed their "tire mulch" made up of recycled tire pieces. My theory is that it will get too hot in the middle of the summer, but they were just experimenting as well, so we will see. I've also heard you can get recycled tire mulch in ANY color...including red and blue...
