We went to game night at Matt's on Saturday and I can honestly say I can not remember the last time I laughed until I cried. He had this game called "Wise and otherwise." I'm sure we didn't play by the rules, but the main point was that one person got a card with sayings on it, they read the first part of the saying, then the others had to guess what the rest of the saying consisted of. We then turned our answers into the one with the card. They read all the answers, including the correct one. You then had to guess which was right. You gained points by guessing the right one, and by fooling others into thinking you were right.
An example: There is an English saying, don't use poison when you can...
possible answers: (a) use a sword, (b) be nice or (c) fart.
Of course the answer is not C, but it was answers like that which made me (and others) laugh until we cried. I know I had to take my glasses off at least five times, because I was crying so hard! We started out all philosophical, trying to trick others into thinking we had the right answer. As the night went on, the answers got worse, and we could figure out the right ones, because they were the only clean answers! Here are some more for you to research - or make up your own answers to (I could tell you what the right answers are but all I can remember are the hilarious ones we made up):
There is a old Chinese saying, "Step on a hoe and...
There is an Irish saying, "It's hard to get butter from...
There's an old Zambian saying, "Monkey's make..
