BTW - If you have a chance to go to the Manhattan mall, be sure to check out the display of pictures in the center...they are all of the Flint Hills by a local photographer. There's one picture where they are burning the prairie that makes my eyes burn because the smoke is THAT real...
Meanwhile, I've been playing with close ups of flowers and herbs (the legal kind) that are growing in my yard.

morning dew on mint - I've never had a Mojito, but this picture makes me sooo thirsty for one!

Every year on Mother's Day - without fail - my grandmother's irises that I planted in the front yard bloom. Yes, it makes me cry EVERY year! Last year I pain-stakingly divided them and this year only one bloomed, but her peonies bloomed for the first time since I planted them. This may sound crazy, but she's still with me, even though she's been gone five years this summer.

A candy-corn plant that is NOT that exciting, because you can't eat the candy corns. I know, I was bummed too. But, I still love the morning light in this one.
