Thank God my mother hasn't learned how to comment on blog postings...HI MOM! :)

My mom, sister and I bought fabric for a baby quilt quite a while ago. It was a WILD panel, some wilder zebra stripes, and alphabet fabric. I looked at some other animal fabric, and my sis pretty much threw a fit in the middle of that fabric store. Thank goodness they knew us...and it turns out the fit was due to the fact she had already bought it to make Baby Baker a quilt...it's not MY fault we both have good taste! Anyway, since we are having a baby in ten days, today I went to my mom's to make the top or at least get started on it. She told me that if I would have just let her know sooner, she could have started on the quilt. Then she proceeded to laugh and laugh, cause she's known since November...yeah that's right...November.

I think it turned out wild, but fabulous! Now all it needs is quilted and the fabric for the back. Thankfully my sister already took care of that, or God only knows when I would have picked it out...maybe when Baby Baker went to kindergarten....or maybe a college graduation present. Either way, the back my sis picked out matches perfectly with the quilt, here it is with my current baby posing just for you (and maybe the cheese in my hand).

My mother see/read this and have a fit, but she can go right ahead, cause she knows whose baby was in this crib first...DON'T YOU MOTHER?
